Check it works

You need: A connected appCheck your exit IP, DNS leaks and WebRTC leaks

What this step is

Use two test pages to confirm three things:

  1. Websites see your server’s IP;
  2. No DNS leak;
  3. No WebRTC leak.

Test on both phone and computer.

1. Exit IP and leaks

On a device with the app connected, open ip.net.coffee/claude/ in the browser.

Look at It should be
Claude AI exit IP Your server’s IP (the “server IP” in the login-info file)
Region The server’s country and city
DNS leak test DNS exit not in China
WebRTC UDP leak test (computer) UDP exit is your server’s IP
Example ip.net.coffee/claude result
Example result (the page is in Chinese): the red boxes are the exit IP Claude sees, the DNS leak status and WebRTC's UDP exit. IPs are replaced with the example 203.0.113.10; personal details are hidden. Screenshot 2026-10; the interface may have changed since.

You should see

The exit IP is your server’s IP, and neither the DNS exit nor the WebRTC exit is in China.

The page also shows Claude’s trust score for the IP. Your own server is a data-center IP, so it won’t be a perfect score — that’s normal.

2. Double-check WebRTC (computer)

Open browserleaks.com/webrtc and check two things:

  • “RTCPeerConnection” shows ✔ (WebRTC works normally);
  • “Public IP Address” is your server’s IP.
Example browserleaks WebRTC result
Two parts of browserleaks: RTCPeerConnection shows ✔, and Public IP Address is the server IP (replaced with an example here). Screenshot 2026-10; the interface may have changed since.

Don't “fix” it by disabling WebRTC

If a Chinese IP shows here, the right fix is turning on Clash Verge’s Tun Mode. Don’t install extensions that disable WebRTC — that breaks web video and voice. Step by step: Check for WebRTC leaks.

3. Test on your phone too

Open ip.net.coffee/claude/ in Safari or Chrome on your phone; the exit IP should be your server’s IP as well.

Do this before you travel

Before leaving, test on both phone and computer, switching between both nodes (Reality and TLS). Problems discovered once you’re behind a restricted network are much harder to fix.

Stuck?

The exit IP is my home IP?

Traffic isn’t going through the proxy. Computer: check Clash Verge has the profile selected, Rule mode and Tun Mode on. Phone: check Shadowrocket’s switch is on.

The exit IP is some other foreign IP, not my server?

Another proxy or VPN may be running on the device, or your home router has a proxy too. Turn other proxies off and test again.

Chinese DNS shows up in the DNS test?

First “Update” the subscription in your app to get the latest rules (this was fixed in the setup). Still there? See Check for DNS leaks.

WebRTC shows a Chinese IP?

Most likely only System Proxy is on, not Tun Mode. Turn it on as in Turn on TUN mode, fully quit and reopen the browser, and test again.

Before moving on, check
