CLIProxyAPI
CLIProxyAPI is an open-source program on your server that turns your own AI accounts (such as ChatGPT or Claude) into a standard API for all kinds of AI tools.
Think of it like this
An adapter: you have several appliances with different plugs (AI tools); the adapter connects them all to one socket (your AI account).
In this setup
Its address is https://your-IP:8318. It starts empty; add your own accounts in the management center before using it. It checks for new versions every 30 minutes and only swaps versions at an idle moment, so it never interrupts a response in progress.
Common misconceptions
- "Once installed, AI is free": it only relays your own account; quota and costs are still your account's.
- "Many people can share it": sharing burns through quota quickly and may break the AI services' terms of use.
