Subscription
A subscription is a URL. Your app opens it to fetch the nodes and routing rules, and refreshes it periodically.
Think of it like this
A self-updating digital menu: when the kitchen changes a dish, you refresh and see it — no need to copy it out again.
In this setup
There are two subscription URLs: the Clash subscription for computers (Clash Verge) and routers (OpenClash), with full routing rules; and the Shadowrocket subscription for iPhone. Both are in the login-info file on your desktop. A subscription URL is the key to your line — never share it.
Common misconceptions
- "The two URLs are interchangeable": the formats differ; the Shadowrocket URL fails in Clash Verge.
- "Import once and forget it": apps refresh automatically; you can also tap "Update" after rules change.
